This Half Moon Bay backyard wedding was one of those weddings you just want to photograph over and over again (I'm hoping for several vow renewals!). I had the privilege of photographing Robert and Ernesto's picturesque backyard wedding that they planned themselves. The setting had a deeply personal touch, as it was the home where Robert grew up in Half Moon Bay. The intimacy of the venue was enhanced by the guests’ adherence to a floral dress code, which was a delightful array of colorful, botanical-inspired attire that perfectly complemented the natural garden setting.
What truly set this Half Moon Bay backyard wedding apart was the atmosphere of acceptance and celebration. It was a day where love was not only celebrated in its romantic form, but also in the love between friends and family. I don't even know where to begin with the dancing. I had to request their playlist, because it was so good. The energy on the dance floor was infectious, pulling every single guest onto the dance floor. I still hear Dancing Queen playing when I look back through these dance photos!
I love that this couple made their wedding truly their own. I even still have their guest gift, which was a candle with a very creative portrait of the two of them on it. This Half Moon Bay backyard wedding will always be one of my favorites! I have stayed in touch with these two, and have had the privilege of Ernesto cutting and styling my hair. The haircut in the greenhouse was a favorite for sure! If you are looking for a new hair stylist, Ernesto owns Vesper, in San Francisco.
